NAACP protesting NY Post

Heres the link to the CNN story, http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/02/21/chimp.cartoon/index.html

I've looked at this cartoon and I dont see Obama anywhere. Stereotypically blacks were once thought to be monkeys, I guess. Stereotypically white cops shoot black people, I guess. Obama introduced the stimulus package. So if you put all of those things I mentioned above in one context, I suppose that could say that the cartoon is racist, or the NAACP is oversensitive to the issues. If we, we being any nonblack person or company, are not allowed to make any negative reference about a black person, which this cartoon MIGHT be, then black people have to stop saying negative things about white people and other black people. Not one more song lyric using racially negative words like the N word or Cracker or Honky or Whitey. See that, just now I had to put the N word and not what it really is. But because I'm white, I can say Cracker, Honky, Whitey, etc. I shouldnt be able to, because they are racial slurs used to define the difference between blacks and whites, ok, same as the N word. Open your minds America, it is time to stop being so damn sensitive about racial issues. Everybody who has walked this earth, has judged people and things by their appearance. It's human nature, watch black comedians, they are not afraid to tell you the differences between the races, those differences make us a diverse and beautiful society, so many differences but just as many similarities. Embrace the difference, we don't hate you, well with the exception of a few closed minded idiots who still salute Hitler, but dont measure all of us by those nutjobs. On the same note, we will try very hard not to measure you by the stereotypes of the past.

Back to the issue of the cartoon, the NY Post has already issued an apology. Hopefully the NAACP will accept it. Hopefully the cartoonist gets to keep his job, because there are far too many people unable to feed their families today, why make another one.

God Bless this beautiful and diverse America

Dear Makarios

Good question. I am a free thinker because, I do not allow the media, or popular culture, or religious doctrine to influence my opinions. I decide based on my own experiences and I think long and hard on every subject before I let my fingers hit the keyboard. My parents taught me to be able to think for myself, to make my own judgements of what is right and what is wrong. I thank them profusely. People who, I believe, are not thinking for themselves are the ones who make their decisions based on what their church says, or what the media tells them to believe. For instance my wife and I were watching TV last night, a show on Biography called Psychic Kids, the mother of one of the kids was taught by her church that their were no spirits, only angels and demons. Her daughters abilities conflicted with her beliefs, so therefore her daughter was doing something evil or being tricked by the demons. She refused to open her mind to new possibilities because it didnt mesh with the religious doctrine she had been brainwashed with all her life. She only thought what the church told her to think, thus NOT a free thinker.

Thanks for the challenging question, you sound like a free thinker too.

Stimulus Package Winners and Losers

You can see the list here: http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/02/13/stimulus.winners.losers/index.html

I've read it and I gotta say, something aint right. Veterans Affairs gets too little, that pisses me off. I didn't see any mention of rebuilding infrastructure, bridges etc. Hmmm, wonder what happened to it.

Sorry Google

I just looked at my calendar and noticed Presidents Day approaching. Google probably went with Darwin because they're going to use Lincoln on Pres Day. So I apologize to Google.

Shame on you Google

Featuring Darwin on your logo, not Lincoln. C'mon thats just stupid. We have a black President, Lincoln freed the slaves. Oooh, theory of evolution is more important than abolishing slavery. Google, I like you, I really do. Maybe you should just admit your mistake, or make a dual birthday logo to include Lincoln. At least apologize to all free people. God Bless America!
